    The earlier framing said Houthi forces had reached Bab el-Mandeb. Yemeni government sources now say they have seized Perim Island and the mainland town of Dhubab, a materially stronger position. The report has been updated in full.

    The 10 September report said Houthi forces had seized Mocha and reached Bab el-Mandeb. Yemeni government sources now say they have reached Perim island and taken Dhubab. The follow-up report carries the updated position.

  3. Cover correction: this story is not a 10 September news item

    A draft of the Global Evening Edition of Thursday 10 September 2026 briefly presented the Abuja interfaith peace accord as a cover story for that date. The accord was reported on 13 August 2026 and there was no new development on 10 September. The cover slot for that edition was given to the Bukavu school fire. We have corrected the record.
