Newsroom

Editorial team

Every story published by The Berean Live News passes through a documented workflow — received, reviewed, fact-checked, edited, approved, published — staffed by the roles below. Copy is attributed to the newsroom unless a named byline appears on the story.

Who does what

  • Editor-in-chief

Holds final responsibility for everything published, signs off breaking coverage and rules on escalated complaints. Contactable at newsroom@bereannews.org.

  • Duty editors

Run each edition — morning, midday and evening — commissioning stories, checking attribution and approving publication.

  • Fact-checkers

Verify every material claim against the named primary source before a story can move to the approved state. They can change verification fields only.

  • Reporters and correspondents

Draft stories from official statements, wire copy and first-hand reporting. Drafts cannot be self-published; an editor must approve them.

  • Corrections desk

Logs every substantive correction with a timestamp and a plain-English note. Reachable at corrections@bereannews.org.
